r95 was already there when i posted this. i only wanted to show the big changelog since r94 and r95 were only fixes of r93.

Doesn't look like anything's been done to make it work where the FAT32 partition on the HDD isn't the first one :(

I'll give it a go anyway (using USB flash or just SD).

Ok I'm a bit confused, Abz has stopped including the sneek files in his wiiflow jumbo packs and he used to have a bunch of bin files nicely titled "diosmios.bin, diosmioslite.bin, quadforce.bin" etc... when I d/load your official neek2o rev95 package I just see elf files.. so can anyone point me in the right direction to do something similar to what Abz used to do for myself?

Edit: Even when using Modmii to build SNEEK for me, I only get "di.bin, font.bin & kernel.bin", not what I'm looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Yea I think he was renaming files. I'm trying to get the lowdown, when modmii builds SNEEK it always works, but I liked what he had going on so I just want to understand more or less how he did it. Thanks for the tip there, I'll try it out ;)

MassiveRican: the files modmii reproduces are correct, but those are only the neek2o files. the diosmios.bin (etc) are files that are essentially .app files renamed. You need to place those files in the sneek folder where your neek2o files are. when renaming them it is important to use the correct name (diosmios.bin, diosmioslite.bin, quadforce.bin) because neek2o looks for those exact names and if found, will use those bin files to start the games (GC or QF).

Damn...I totally missed this update. :shy:

And had some trouble updating as well. When going through modmii, I got a "Access is denied." message during the building of the files.
It came right after "Grabbing modules for neek2o rev95".

The result was a di.bin that was just 1kb in size (probably empty).

Had to build it manually, but it's working now.

Haven't properly seen what it had to offer, though. But a whole menu overlay can't be bad. :D

if you're getting an access is denied message its prolly because of where ModMii is saved and\or UAC permissions. If it's saved to your "program files" folder, ModMii needs to be run as an administrator in order for it to build\modify files\folders in that directory. That's why the default installation directory is C:\ModMii instead of C:\Program FIles\ModMii

@etheboss, where does one find quadforce.bin?

Quadforce plays Mario Kart GP if I'm not mistaken that's the only game maybe 1 other.

it only plays mariokart gp 1-2.. and when using with neek2o, the audio is broken anyway. (and .bin file loading is still broken in the latest neek2o for me...havent heard of it working for a single person other than Overjoy)

Perfect Etheboss thanks a lot! I knew that the files ModMii made are correct and are what I need to launch neek2o, I just didn't know how to get those bin files. Excellent explanation, I'll be doing that right away although I'm a bit dissapointed at Seam's results but hopefully OJ will confirm if it's working or not and what it takes.

Neek2o's automatic channel launcher works rather well. However, to truly fill in for priiloader's function, there are still two things missing:

1. the ability to change the 'return to' to the same channel as well (as it stands, that always points to the original system menu).
2. a way to still access the system menu in rare instances (not that I can name any, but still... :P ). In other words: preloader's "hold reset while powering on the wii"-thing should temporary disable the automatic channel launcher.

...or is that first one already available? (if so...can anyone point out to me how to do that?) :)

Hey guys, can someone give me a quick run though on how to update my NEEK2O to rev95 or the latest version? I used Modmii to build my NEEK2O NAND, so I have no idea where to begin with the files I downloaded off the google code page. I am currently using my NEEK2O NAND with postloader and everything is working great, I just need to update NEEK2O. Thanks!

Another feature that would be good would be a direct disk game launcher so, for example, WiiFlow could use it to run Wii . GC games the way it can use it to run VC / WW games. That way once neek2o works for vWii on a Wii U, backup loaders will be able to use neek2o to launch games even though d2x apparently isn't being updated for vWii.

just use modmii to build your neek2o r95 files. Remove (or backup) your /sneek folders on usb/sd before copying the files generated by modmii. Do not forget to update also postloader to latest revision ;)

note that r95 do not support priiloader. So if you want to jump directly in postloader or you want return to it after running a channel or a game, you have to manually install neek2booter.app (available < here >)
