About 18 months ago I had someone help me softmod a wii to play backup games. Since then my brother has updated the wii via the net to 4.3 and has lost the homebrew on it. The NAND has not been backed up and I cannot remember what modifications were done to the wii at the time of softmodding it. What I woiuld like to know is, what is the best way now to get the homebrew back on it? Could I just follow the 4.3 guide on here and softmod it again? Would this brick the wii?

Just follow the 4.3 guide.

No, it wouldn't brick the Wii. Just follow the 4.3 guide (read all the instructions carefully) and you'll get your Wii softmodded again.

Since you're on 4.3, you'll need a copy of LEGO Indiana Jones to run the Indiana Pwns exploit on a PAL Wii (or if you're on an NTSC-U Wii, you can use Super Smash Bros. Brawl as well).
