ROM Hack need Pokemon Shiny Gold help

Hi. I'm using an M3 slot 2 device to play Pokemon Gold. I downloaded a firered rom and patched it right away with the shiny gold ips patch. I used IPSWin for that. Anyway I have a Graveler in the save, and I wanted to trade to my firered (original cart) to evolve him. That went well. I now have a corphish in my shiny gold and a golem in my firered. Now I wanna trade back and I get the problem. When I connect it, all goes well. I enter the room, sit down on the chairs, the trading screen comes up. I choose golem on firered and a corphish from my shiny gold. It starts to trade and it almost finishes, but when it's saving after the trade has been done, shiny gold crashes and firered comes up with a black screen saying a communication error has occured. I can press a+b+start+select to reset firered, but not shiny gold. It freezes completely. I was wondering, did I do anything wrong? Do I need a special patch for shiny gold or something? Help would be appreciated... Thanks.

Ok well I patched the rom with the save patch thing because I thought it would fix my problem, but it didn't. I don't understand. I traded the graveler to firered just fine. Why can't I trade the Golem back to my shinygold file? Is there ANY way I can get my Golem back onto my shiny gold file? Thanks.

Well I've decided to create a golem duplicate. Here's how I did for anyone who is wondering (doubt anyone is!).

1. The Golem I had stuck on Fire Red I uploaded to my Pearl.
2. Traded the Golem to my Diamond Rom.
3. Checked Golem's info with pokesav.
4. Inputed Golem's info into this pokemon maker. Generated gameshark code.
5. Inputed gameshark code into my gba gameshark and made a Golem in my Sapphire Game.
6. Traded it into my Shiny Gold.
7. Shows no sign of trade as it doesn't gain boosted exp. ! =)

I think the problem was that since the original Golem had made up info (coming from union cave, which doesn't exist in any gba pokemon game), it didn't allow for trading and saving to be done properly.

I think the problem was that since the original Golem had made up info (coming from union cave, which doesn't exist in any gba pokemon game), it didn't allow for trading and saving to be done properly.


weird... I honestly think that has nothing to do with it

how does it work one way and bust out the other?

in any case- I've never gotten VBAlink to work withv pokemon yet (only game that carshes...why?)so I have no idea....
