Yes. If they are smart enough to check their "connected devices" and see your PC, you are in trouble.

But if they have no encryption or WEP, they probably aren't.

I would suggest you change your PC name to something they won't think is strange. Because your PC name is what shows up in "attached devices" along with your mac address.


Just log into their router and either disable this log, or see what names they have and make yours about the same (so they think it is a connection error or something, and they are seeing double)

don't worry about it. since it's open and unencrypted, you can say you assume it was for free. that is, assuming they notice, which if their wireless network is wide open, they either want people to connect, or they're too stupid to know how to secure it.
