I hacked my Wii about 3 years ago, and haven't used it for about 2 years.

I am selling it on gumtree now, and am trying to make it as "hack free" as possible.

It's on 4.3e, however says there is an update available.

I am wondering what I need to do to update it without bricking it, because I know I shouldn't update direct from Nintendo.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

You can re virginize your wii to factory state. Just be sure to have bootmii installed as boot2. Also, remember to make a back up of your wii in its current state for if something goes wrong, you can just restore that backup and have it back the way it was. With this method, it will completely remove any hacks you had on your wii. When it finishes restoring, you only have to launch the exploit again and delete bootmii to completely remove any hacks. Here is the link to the tutorial on revirginizing your wii: http://www.hacksden.com/showthread.php/5574-Format-Wii-Nand-Using-ohneswanzenegger-Guide

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
