Hello,

I got and N3DS XL (no a New N3DS XL), the version of her its 6.1.0-12U, so i want to install CFW, (Luma3DS RXTool, etc) i already saw all the guides here but im little confuse and i got some doubts like:

- Should i upgrade version of the N3DS?
- What CFW its best and which allow me to enter to the Shop of games? (dont know the name of the shop)
- If i install the CFW i can upgrade later my N3DS with out fear that Nintendo could ban me?
- What Memory SD its best for it? (I got an Toshiba SDHC Memory Card of 4GB)

As long the replies i could have another questions...

1) There's no need to update, just stay on that firmware and follow the guide from here: https://3ds.guide/installing-boot9strap-(browser)
2) Following the guide you will install Luma, which is the most user-friendly (even though every CFW allows you to use freeShop, if it's what you mean)
3) Updating your 3DS won't automatically lead to a ban; Nintendo can ban you if you go online with an unreleased game or randomly when they analyze Streetpass data. I suggest you to disable any Streetpass/Spotpass option and to follow this tutorial after you finished installing boot9strap: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-3ds-in-incognito-mode-with-godmode9.473630/
4) Simply, the bigger the SD, the better lol. Just remember to format it to FAT32 or else the 3DS won't read it if it's over 32GB

he meant no New 3ds XL...he misspelled it

Yeah sorry for that...

uhh
6.1 is a o3ds firmware
n3ds starts at (extreme minimum for certain jpn systems) 8.1

Believe or not it says: 6.1.0-12U the mine its Nintendo 3DS XL not a New Nintendo 3DS XL

What size and brand you recommend? i know that 1 o 2 3DS games will ocupy the an 4GB memory but games of previous editions (NDS, NDSi, etc) will not...

Well any brand will work (until it's not a fake SD obviously). Personally I will suggest classic brand like Samsung or Sandisk
As for the size, 32GB should be enough, but if you want to be really sure, get a 64GB. I have a 128GB but it's an overkill, I have dumped every physical game I own (a lot, trust me) plus some other "backups" and I merely filled half of it

For now don't delete any file. In the last paragraph you use a GodMode9 script which will delete every file that you won't need anymore automatically
