Gaming Need help with Dragon Quest 9! - Job changing

I've been playing DQ9 for a while now and I just got the ship but I'm still unable to work out how to change job.
I know that you do it at that big temple on the island with the glowing tree but I talked to every one there and still unable to change job.
Does anyone know how?

did you solve the darma TOWER quest?
you need to solve that quest before you can start changing job

Is that the tower to the east of the dhama temple?
I couldn't get in... Do I need a key or something?

YES!
did you talk to everyone from the darma temple? especially the maid in the PUB?
after talking to her when you walk back up to the 1st floor there will be a cutscene between you and sandy (spirit)

after that you should talk to the priest on the first floor
he will teach you a move to BOW and tell you the high priest might be headed to the tower

go to darma tower and BOW in front of the door
is one of the few command you learnt on the 2nd page of the action/gesture (those actions that you perform by pressing B)
if you don't know which is which (just try each of them one by one) trial and error
