It will format your second SD when you transfer your emunand, so afther it is transfered you'll need to copy and paste the files again

I don't understand why people are having a hard time with this game...

I have an 11.2U Nintendo 2DS (O3DS) with Luma 6.5 stable and installed the .cia of both Moon AND Sun using the Health and Safety-injected FBI 2.4.2 for installation. I DID NOT HAVE THE PRE-LOAD INSTALLED! I made sure I had 7GB of space free before installing them, and neither one needed the seed injected. I launch the game, the console reboots, and I wait. Then the intro movie starts, and I play.

So what are people doing wrong that messes up the installs on O3DS systems for them?

I think the problem in this case is not the installation (they seem to have already installed it) the problem is the acess to to the extended RAM mode The game needs.

Ok, how can I start from scratch, I mean, I already have the A9LH, so I don't need this. My SysNAND is on 9.2, what do I need to do everything new and fresh? Maybe I really have this Frankenfirm, whatever that is.

Okay, so I region changed from JPN to USA via the a9lh guide. If I want to do the ctrtransfer, which region files should I use?

Also, definitely an extended ram problem for me as well, as I have the same problem with Monster Hunter X (which I've been told uses the same thing).

While I'd be willing to try system formatting since I have literally nothing I want to keep on this 3ds, I don't want to have to re-do the region change, which I'm afraid that system formatting will make me do.

Edit edit: Okay, so I have the ctrtransfer files from when I region changed. I'm really confused by all of this now lmao. Should I go back to my old region and that would fix it? I'm really not sure what to do here.

Edit: Above - Are you using the region spoofed versions of the games? If you're still on 9.2, they shouldn't work unless you're using firmware spoofed versions. Update to 11.2 and try again.

Yes my EmuNAND is on 11.2, but I want to get rid of that, too. So only one NAND, new SD, where do I start?

Buy a new SD, they're dirt cheap these days. Places like Walmart (ASDA?) Have them on clearance constantly.

It worked! i just formatted my 3ds, and i tried Super Smash bbros and it worked! i can play it, ill try pokemon sun later.

go to system settings, and choose 'System Memory Format' and after that, try to re-install the pokemon sun/moon
