As the title says. I've followed Wii.Guide down to a T, loaded up an external SSD (formatted as FAT32) with wbfs games in the right folder in the correct syntax and Gamecube games likewise. USBloader plays Gamecube games and installed channels correctly on loader cIOS 58, refuses to load usb on any other cIOS, will detect Wii games on 58 but blackscreens on loading them.

I have a black Wii that came with Motion Plus and Wii Sports Resort a la 2010 (I think. Worked at Walmart around that time). It won't install games without freezing at random percentages specific to the game being installed and it will not play otherwise attained Wii backups.

Here's the results from syscheck

There's nothing flagrantly wrong with your IOSes (the newer standard is d2x v8 or v10.52 base 57 as default (249) because it has more compatibility, little reason to use any Hermes CIOS or to have both v8 and v10.52, but ultimately nothing that's going to be a dealbreaker - especially since only 1 IOS is running at any time)

When running Wii disc backups, the usb loader is pretty much a frontend for CIOS's optical drive emulation (and a cheat engine for general purpose codes, as well as any video patches, etc)

If you're sure the external drive is properly connected (data cable on outermost port, receiving sufficient power though this latter point is proven by the fact you can virtualize GC games off it), properly partitioned and formatted (this one too, Nintendont only supports MBR/FAT32), maybe you've tried a different usb loader too... there's some compatibility issue with your drive or usb converter :\

As said above, cIOS are fine.
Is the drive MBR or GPT? You want it to be MBR. I've seen issues very similar to yours, will load everything except Wii games. 99% of the time, the disk was GPT rather than MBR
If it's MBR, probably just a drive incompatibility. Have you tried WiiFlow/CFG Loader?
