help with restoring 2nd handed wii

Im having problems with a used wii I think someone tried to reset it before sending.

i manged to get homebrew again using strhex . However im not able to update the wii to 4.3 not lunch any wbfs games here is my log file I have noticed alot of the cios files have been tempered with what could be done to restore this

Edit: your cios 248-251 actually look fine BTW, so while there are improvements that can be made clean up your softmods, it likely won't impact your backup loading

Make sure your usbloader is up to date. You can use modmii's file checkup feature to see if any apps on your sd or usb are out of date.

Other than that you'd want to investigate sd/usb compatibility or whether they're formatted properly

Thanks for the reply, cios 248-251 is what I added, when I loaded d2s loader I was shocked to see how many of the cios that have been tempered with, all the apps on the sd is up to date and works fine on any other wii. However priiloader is version 0.7 and I'm not able to update this I get an error msg, also I'm not able to do a system update.

Yup, I'm aware. If u use modmii's syscheck updater it will resolve all the issues u describe. It will help u remove the excess/unnecessary cios, as well as install a stock system menu version (yours has been customized with version 54450, which is what's preventing the priiloader installer from running) and update priiloader.

Modmii was indeed a powerful tool you introduced me too, thanks. I was pres ntes about 20+ wads after installation everything works, but I guess my wii is stuck on system menu 4.1 I really don't want to update and install everything again

Nevermin everything works now, I did decide to go ahead and update the wii thinking worst case I will use letterbomb hack and install everything again since but homebrew wasn't removed

I didn't put two and two together. Haha I was going to say yesterday that the author of modmii wanted a coffee as thanks but I thought you helped more so I would rather give to you You are very talented. This will be my new goto application when restoring wiis in the future. I buy and sell 2nd handed wii after restoring them, this was a huge pain but I learned something new so in the end worth it.

I made 3 different cavex test forwarders and they all failed. It was only tested by one person though so you can try them as well if you like

I also tried several times to make, but I fugures you are way more talented than me that's why I asked, anyway thanks for trying, it's sad to ts not possible to get a working wad for this as this is definitely a app must kids would love on the wii, but lunching and messing with the homebrew Channel is maybe not so recommend for 6 year olds
