Hacking Need help getting sx os to work on 6.0.1

hello all of my brethren. Ive been running sx os on my 5.1 switch and run random xci dumps on my exfat 128gb card no problem since august.

Ive been trying to help my friend install the cfw on his switch so he could get smash since i have all the tools/files. He bought and receieved the license code already. His switch is 6.0.1 so i backed up the NAND from the sx os options and when i boot into cfw i am met with a prompt that said the system needs to update to use the sdxc card but i know 6.2 patched this for now.

TL;DR How can i get an sdxc card working for running sx os xci dumps on a 6.0.1 switch without updating? Sorry for such a noob request. Thanks everyone!
