Hardware [Need advice] Worth buying a new 3DS xl now?

Hello guys, I need some advice from you. Here's the thing, my brother has an o3DS since launch and a lot of games for it. Recently he got the Switch. I was thinking to get him a new 3DS xl limited edition for his birthday as an upgrade from the old o3DS or more Switch stuff like game, controller etc.

I'm not sure if it's worth buying a new 3DS in 2017. What do you suggest is better, more Switch stuff or a 3DS upgrade? Thanks!

If money isn't an issue (I guess if it wasn't an issue, you'd just buy both), buy him Switch stuff. If you can find cheap 3DS stuff, do that, but it seems he's happy with Switch.

if he has a Switch already.....more Switch stuff (if he dont play with 3ds anymore) otherwise its up to you....i would buy him switchgames

He is not playing much I would say on 3DS now that he's got the Switch.
