Badass. I like how the cartridges are upside down in the pictures though.

I wonder if the GBA cart is has an interchangable housing or if you'll have to buy them seperately for each model.

Oh, and Ramen: they had released some screenshots in their E3 press package.

With the price of cartridges today, I'd guess they would have to sell a DS version and a DS lite version.
Now, if Nintendo aren't greedy bastards for once (hahaha, oh wow), we might see two GBA cartridges in the same box, but do not count on it. Doesn't make much business sense.

as you can see at gamefront.de there will definately be two seperate versions of the browser software available for sale - one for the normal ds and one for the ds lite. at least it's better than only one version which sticks out of your lite

I assume it'll run just fine off a flash cart, until you want to download something or visit a site that's too big. It shouldn't take much to patch it to read and write off of the GBA side of things.
When this thing comes out, I'm only putting one game on my 2G at a time, and leaving the rest for webbing.

I'd buy it for the sake that it's available. however, the only thing i'll be using it for is check forums maybe and check the location of final exams XD (dont' wanna boot up laptop and check... it'll take 1.30min minutes)

i must say tho, they shoudl make the DS WEP and WPA compatible so that it can be more convenient.

also, anyone think this can be used as an expansion pack (thinking about N64 days)

for more graphics intense games? XD

The Nintendo DS supports WEP encryption, but it still does not support WPA/WPA2 encryption.

Someone should be able to patch it so that it uses a flash card for the memory... Shouldn't be too hard but, who knows.

Anyway, you can go visit my blog by clicking the link under my sig to read more about it

Being able to browse the net using your handheld would be very handy. It saves you having to carry an extra PDA or laptop with you during travels. Also, your NDS will be fairly much immune to all vulnurabilities and malicious software that targets Windows

It boots instantly too XD

It's just too bad this software isn't built in like the PSP.

Translated the little Q & A from the Nintendo site on my blog if anyone's interested. Just click on the link below my sig

Seems there's no support for Flash, PDF, movies, sounds or anything else that requires plugins.

Still good to use to check e-mails and browse the basic site I guess.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
