ROM Hack NDS Video Files ".mods"

Is there anyway to open these files yet? The Mobiclip Video Codec download has been deleted, and now I'm wondering, is there anyway to open NDS video files and view them?

Sorry for asking, but it would be nice to rip the English cutscenes of Last Specter.

Mobiclip/vx/actimagine became mods and much like those there is nothing much that has been done with them- there is a bit of information on what is going on in the header and as far as playback itself goes but no means to play them outside a ROM. As for the download the only one I have seen if for mobile phones and that was a different thing entirely and even in the SDK it was kept sewn up pretty tight (more security than the rest of the SDK).

If you are just after ripping then desmume has a nice video grabbing option which would rip them far better than this (it also accounts for lag pretty well) and if you combine this with a file name mod so whatever one you want plays in place of the opening/first/easy to get to cut scene you can get them all in fairly short order*. Worst case scenario is you find another ROM and inject files into that to rip.

*not all of them do but some game videos have sound separate to the video file so you might have to rip that by itself and put it back together elsewhere but that is not hard.
