I can't for the life of me find a way to play nds games and every time I google it I seem to only find posts from 2016 - 2017, nothing relatively recent and every post has a different method. Can anyone help me out here? I just wanna play Kingdom Hearts 365/8 days and re:coded on my wii u. Also sorry if I'm asking a stupid question.

Reason why you can't find that ONE post to rule them all on how to inject NDS games is because there isn't any. With Virtual Console injections for the WiiU, there are different ways to go about it, however the end results are the same, either have a working WUP/USB installer files to install directly to your WiiU where you have a nice icon on the WiiU Menu. Or if you prefer to load it through Loadiine, both of these two methods require two different steps.

Without going into the finer details on how to do this, if you just want to play these two games quickly, below are MY interpretation of the bare bone instructions on how to get both these games up and running on Loadiine.
Note: I'm going to repeat, this is bare bones, no fancy game icons or banners, etc.. Just enough to boot and play the game:

What you need: I can't help you with any of these files so your on your own on where to get them.
    - A copy of the official DS VC game in Loadiine format (code, content & meta folders): New Super Mario Bros. (US) [0005000010195A00]
    - A copy of both your Kingdom Hearts DS roms.

FYI: For others who are reading and know how to inject are wondering why I chose NSMB as a base VC for both these games? Reason is because both Kingdom Hearts games use EEPROM saves, and it's always best practice to always try and use a VC base that has the same SAVE method. But I hear you say...why you need to do this when you could just use the built in automatic RESTORE POINT when you exit the game that most official VC's have, and also have the ability to manually use the CREATE RESTORE POINT? I tell you why, if you inject a game to a base rom that doesn't have the same SAVE method, it's most likely not going to save your progress as it should like on a real DS. If you decide to use the in game RESET function to reset the game, in most cases you progress wont be saved and if you haven't made a RESTORE POINT to restore from, you have to start all over again. So from my point of view, this is important.

    How to:
    - Navigate to the \content\0010 folder of the NSMB game in loadiine format.
    - Open the rom.zip file, you will notice the file in the ZIP file is called "WUP-N-DADE.srl", this is, you guessed it, the DS rom.
    - Now rename the Kingdom Hearts DS rom to "WUP-N-DADE.srl" and create a zip file, naming it like the original file "rom.zip". Alternatively you could just rename the DS rom file and then just drag and drop the file into the rom.zip file and overwriting the file inside the zip.
    - Now create the following folder on your SD CARD if you haven't ready done so, if you've used Loadiine before you should already have this folder: SD CARD\wiiu\games
    - Now create a new folder of your game and place the 3 folders; code, content and meta folder inside the new folder you just created, it should look something like this:
SD CARD\wiiu\games\Kingdom Hearts <= Inside this folder should contain the code, content and meta folders.
    - Loadiine picks up the game name from the folder you created in the "games", so rename the game to your liking's.
    - Boot up Loadiine and play.
    - Now repeat with your other Kingdom Hearts game, or any game you wish to play.

    Note:
As I said above, this is BARE BONES injects in loadiine format to get you playing the games you wanted, you will notice that the game icons and game banners are still that of NSMB. If you want to get these changed, you will have to google on how to do this as I'm not going to go into details on how to do this. In a nutshell, the files needs to be in a specific resolution and file format using your preferred paint program.
If you don't care about the SAVE methods and your happy to just use the automatic/manual RESTORE POINTS, then you can use the above to inject whatever DS rom you want.
I repeat, there are many ways to achieve the above, but this is HOW I would do it in your situation if you want to get a game up and running quickly without the fuss of the correct game icons and banners. Other members may/will have a better way, good for you, feel free to add additional tips/advice/suggestions.

Hey just got Kingdom Hearts - 365/2 Days working but for some reason NSMB and the other kingdom hearts game won't even appear on the Loadiine menu, any idea as to what I did wrong? All the games have different names and I followed the same procedure for each. Do the meta folders matter even if they're empty? Thanks for the help.

META folder DOES matter, if this folder is blank, the game will not show up in Loadiine, the META folder contains the icons and banner pictures and other important files that Loadiine needs to load.

That's strange, when I grabbed the NSMB file and did all the file editing stuff, there was no meta folder, just content and whatever the other one was, and I was able to get Kingdom Hearts running with an empty meta folder, in loadiine it just said no icon. I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea what I'm doing .

I'm not sure, maybe it's ok to have one game without the META folder but any additional games require the META folder so Loadiine can see them correctly on the menu?

From what I can see your doing everything correctly as outlined in my steps, but you missing the META folder, I suggest you try and find yourself the META folder for NSMB, if you can't, maybe try grabbing a META folder from another DS game.
As I said, META folder contains the icons and banner and the meta.xml file which has information about the game, with Loadiine, it doesn't matter what info is in the meta.xml as long as it's there. Different story for WUP/USB install files, as the meta.xml file is required.

I just modded my wii u yesterday on 5.5.3.

No meta folder is needed for Loadiine (with ds games, AFAIK.)

Took me some hours to realize one of my folders wasn't named properly. "[ABCD01]" was missing the "]" and the game wouldn't appear.
