I just tried again, Pokemon Black 2 is installed (without a banner/name) and it can boot, but it stays at a white screen. Same thing for Mario Party DS.

How does .nds file loading in hbmenu work in the original R4?

I've played the entire game through, I doubt it's a hack. I'm trying Pokemon White now, should I change the game path? It's supposed to be F:/Pokemon white but it says Games/PO(numbers). Should I change it?

Change the path to where you're ROM is at in the flashcard (excluding F:/).

Looks like it can read your R4 properly, but not boot YSMenu.nds for some reason.

Nope. As stated in the OP, only the Non-SDHC version will work.

Tried running the tutorial, but forwarder3ds only output the (romcode).dat file and a forwarded_(romname).nds, no .cia

Try unchecking "Keep .NDS files". If problem persists, move the Forwarder3DS folder to the hard drive root (e.g. C:/)

Still nothing (I'm running through the .exe file after insatlling it (win8 x64 with admin powers. the .jar refuses to load; "a Java Exception has occurred")

Update Java to the latest version. There's less security problems now.

Read the OP again and copie make_cia, ndstool and the DLL files to the place OP indicates

I mean this:

"You can use a Windows native installer too, only on 64-bit systems. However, if you do that, after the installation, you should copy the make_cia, ndstool and dll files to C:\Users\[MyUsername]\AppData\Local\Forwarder3-DS\app, or it won't work at all."

And then run the installed EXE

another quick question: going to menu by holding ABXYLR isn't working (ysmenu.ini automatically sets menu flag as false). Any way to fix it?
