That sounds awesome. Maybe if the game DOES get released, it'll sell well enough to be localized, and if it sells well enough here, it'll get the other two games localized.

Oh well, that'll never happen. But I can dream.

I'm so glad you are not 'localising' it. Great decision.

In some ways, these translations are better than getting an official release over in the west because I can see them butchering it (cutting and localising). Part of the charm of these amazing Japanese games are there japanese-esque quality and immersion.

Is it even possible to translate the DSiware sequels? or is it not really worth it anyway.
 
^Impossible to translate DSiWare, and wth are you talking about? Localising is better than translating. Translating requires apt knowledge of the game and it's code.

A year ago, this game was deemed impossible to translate. Our only hope was localisation.
 
I'd expect it by the end of the month, but they said there were some problems with the translators being too busy... Also, there are some problems with the images being inserted (I think this was fixed?)

That's why I've stopped playing it so much. However, it's looking like there aren't any more bugs for me to find.

Well, there's no way of playing any DSiware ROMs, so why translate them in the first place? It would be like buying a European electronic device without buying a plug adapter.

I hate to break it to you, but by your standards, the fan translation is "butchered." We have changed things to make them sound better in English, and we're proud of the end result. The title screen now reads "The Nameless Game," just for starters; "Mienai (Unseen/Invisible) Mode" is now "Blind Terror"; the Misaki Hotel is now the Capeside Hotel; and the "Hidamari no Dress" (or "Sunny Spot Dress") is now simply the "Sunshine Dress." The game is still set in Japan, of course, and none of the character names have been changed, though honorifics are absent from the script.

In short, we've done nothing to the game that respectable publishers like Atlus, Aksys, or XSEED wouldn't do. If the official English versions of games like Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (PSP), Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (DS), and Fragile Dreams (Wii) are "too Westernized" for you, you won't be happy with what we've done with this game.

True ending. I loved that shit the first time around, and I'll love it again.

...That's a good thing imo. Basically what you're saying is you've made it WORK in english, rather than doing an awkward, literal fan-translation which could cause potential confusion...

I'll definitely be happy with how you guys have done it... *excitement rises* ;~;
 
@Nagato wow, that early? hah, we'll be getting some traffic soon then. XD

I'll keep my fingers crossed. Hope you guys extend support after release, in case people start seeing bugs and stuff (or polishing issues and whatnots), but i'm fairly certain that if and when you release this, that there won't be any game-breaking bugs anymore.
 
I just wanted to say that you made me smile when you said you took out the honorifics. I think that's my biggest pet peeve when I read Japanese->English translations: Having a piece over crowded with pointless sans and samas and chans when I just want to read the damn text.

Personally I think their both good. I quite like honorifics, but if some translation omits them I won't care.

Me too! I totally am spazzing about Extreme Escape Adventure: Good People Die.

The only problem is... I don't have a 3DS or a Vita, and I'm not planning to have enough money to for a pretty long while...

Yeahhh this bothered me when I was playing Persona 4. I still enjoyed the game, but seriously honorifics don't fit in english @.@.
