Well, if it's unimportant images like the title screen or something, you could release an early patch... I mean, if it's unimportant and you want to stop people from whining, then that would be the best course of action, then release an updated version with the images fixed later..

But if it's an important image needed to play, then go ahead and delay it. We, or at least I, can wait. It's not like any other translations will be released any sooner.

I'd like to think the initial translation speed has bought us the time needed to get everything right for the release, so I don't think we should release an early patch. The game will only stand up to a couple of playthroughs, so I wouldn't want people playing once with annoying untranslated parts, then not really being bothered by the time the full patch is out.

Yeah, you're probably right.

Except on that couple of playthroughs. Knowing myself - and I do know myself so well - I'll probably play it about 12-30 times, depending on the release dates of other translations.

I've just read through every post on this thread. I want to let anyone who has any doubts whatsoever about the standard of work that summvs is doing that they have nothing to worry about. Don't mistake his speed for haste. I doubt there are many in the world better qualified to do this work (though he is too modest/secretive to say any more than he already has). You are very lucky to have him doing this translation for you.

I hope you all enjoy the game as much as you anticipate you will!

yeah cannot wait for the patch

Sure I can help. Does anybody object to me changing "mail" to the more specific "email"?

(I assume "Riko" in the top left is the character's name, right?)

BTW, if you need some examples of what I can do:

bof1.png

That's the original SNES version's logo, prettied up in Photoshop and inserted into the GBA version. What can I say? The official English logo for the GBA version is too plain.

This one isn't quite final yet - I'd like to tweak the font sizes a bit, for one. But it turned out pretty well for what I once assumed was an impossible task. :3

EDIT: I was gonna demonstrate my phenomenal cosmic powers on one of those screenshots you provided, but it's a JPG. Baaaaaad idea to post screenshots in JPG format. All those little artifacts make the picture look cruddy. Use PNG instead. (Even GIF would be an improvement.)

Everything in the "misc\images\ts_menu" folder on the SVN is ready to be edited now. The green color is the transparency color used in-game so keep that where you need transparency.

A friend was trying to edit the graphics of a game and green was the transparency color, but when she tried to put the edited graphics into the game, it wouldn't register any transparency color other than black unless the graphics were unedited. How do you keep the green as the transparency color?
