Well, if N64 emulation is impossible and/or too hard to do, let's try others consoles. You know, maybe PS1, or even Dreamcast if we squeeze it. DSDoom and QuakeDS are the same versions on PC, so why not squeeze N64 enough to put it on DS.

Nubia, you don't seem to understand the difference between ports and emulations. a port is a rewrite of the engine for a different system (ie DS doom). An emulation is a virtual clone of the original hardware and software. The first of the two is easier on specs then the latter however the first is generally more work for less result. A good example is ScummVM DS. The scumm engine itself runs on the DS without much lag (which are multiple versions of the engine already really). If you were to run an emulator of another system that is able to run scummvm, no matter what system it will probably be slow as hell if it would start at all.

In short, N64, dreamcast (seriously if you accept that n64 won't work how on earth can you suggest DC?), etc. will not work.

actually, there are a lot of 64 games i wish Nintendo would port to the DS. Only they'd probably want to include the touchscreen in some sort of fashion. There's a lot of gold on the 64. If Nintendo would let these games be ported as is, they'd have a lot of happy fanboys.

Some games I wish they'd port are:
Mario Tennis
Mario Golf
Paper Mario
Both Zeldas
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Perfect Dark

i love conker's bad fur day

Conker = Win. It is the best N64 game I have ever played and I would love for it to be ported. Imagine 4 player WiFi battles with Conker and Teddy...

- Sam

then my life is complete

its so fun when that fork thing hangs it self

Conker was a brill game.

however looking at what rare did with diddy kong racing, i wouldn't be that optimistic about it if it was announced.

Super smash bros or similar is a must.
