Hardware n3ds ribbon cable how can I get it back in?

So, I was nand modding a n3ds XL and all the points soldered and etc, putting the cables back in and preparing to test it, and I can't seem to get this cable in at the bottom:

uhh hold the phone I used my eyes and saw it lifts up...

That's the touch screen. You should be able to easily lift it up and seat it snugly in between the black and gold.
Is there a problem?

Hopefully you didn't accidentally damage it.
