So How do you remove the shoulder buttons off the motherboard since there's like yellow squares on the connections on the motherboardWhat do you mean?
Can you tell me how do you remove the ribbon cables for the shoulder buttons? I just some gold square on itCan someone tell me the pinouts of this plate normal O3DS? It is totally different from the standard rhythms models.
It has four pinouts in a straight line, instead of the three known (DAT3, DAT2 and CMD), and clk of back does not match.
Thanks.
You need to pop off those "gold squares." Just get a flat screw head or something and gently pry it off, it should detach and pop off.Can you tell me how do you remove the ribbon cables for the shoulder buttons? I just some gold square on it
How did you install that black box into the micro usb cable? I just mounted the micro usb breakout board to my 3DS like you have pictured. That cable looks much nicer than having a micro SD adapter stuck at the end of itI created a little microUSB to USB cable for reading and writing to the NAND using the Realtek RTS5158 chipset (in the black box). I installed a microUSB port in the 3DS to go with it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the materials and tinkers with the NAND a lot.
I found the black box from an official GameBoy micro link cable:How did you install that black box into the micro usb cable?
Ok I got them off very easily ,but how do it remove the ribbon cables like the one connect to the controller side without accidentally breaking it?You need to pop off those "gold squares." Just get a flat screw head or something and gently pry it off, it should detach and pop off.

Still can't remove them,do they stay up automatically or do I pull the cable while I hold the flaps up?Here, this might help you: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+3DS+XL+2015+Motherboard+Replacement/4136
You need to flip open the flaps to remove the ribbon cables. But DO NOT lift up the black flaps! They're not meant to be lifted up and if you may end up damaging them.
If you need to lift them then do so, but be very gentle! Whenever I tried to disassemble the motherboard I lifted the black flaps up too far, so after I reassembled everything the mic and the home button wasn't working because those black flaps weren't resting properly on the ribbon cables.Still can't remove them,do they stay up automatically or do I pull the cable while I hold the flaps up?
There up but i still can't get the ribbon cable out (home button)If you need to lift them then do so, but be very gentle! Try pulling them out while lifting the flap, again don't lift it too much. There up but i still can't get the ribbon cable out (home button)
I can't seem to remove the mic ribbon cable, there's nothing to pull up and slide the cable outTry pulling them out while lifting the flap, again don't lift it too much.
The connector for the home button is a ZIF connector. If you lift it up at all, it will likely be broken (happened to me). Just pull the cable out gently and put it back in the same way. The same goes for the microphone and the NFC coil.I can't seem to remove the mic ribbon cable, there's nothing to pull up and slide the cable out
So I just pull it out? Not needing to lift up?The connector for the home button is a ZIF connector. If you lift it up at all, it will likely be broken (happened to me). Just pull the cable out gently and put it back in the same way. The same goes for the microphone and the NFC coil.
Any of the bigger connectors as well as some of the smaller connectors (like the circle pad) are normal FFC connectors. Lift up the tab to unlock them. Thanks,How about those wide Orange Ones?
