Hardware N3ds freezes playing online, black screen followed, Help

Greetings, About 30 minutes ago, I was playing for glory smash on my n3ds xl. I do not how or what is important so I am just going to describe my experience. During the first match with my opponent everything was fine. On my second match the game freezes. First time in my life it happened. It's a digital copy. No buttons works so I pressed the power button until it turns off. Then when I turned it on, the light lit up but both screens remained black. No buttons worked.

My n3ds is a version 11.0, a couple of month ago I installed homebrew on it and menuhax (The one where you press L when you turn on the system to launch the homebrew). I used the homebrew only for pokemon save editing and retroarch emulators.

I am at a loss about what happened. Did my console get bricked because I played an online match on smash? I use to play online pokemon battles every now and then with no problem whatsoever.

I'm going to assume it's a problem with either your NNID or your 3ds, homebrew doesn't have the capabilities to touch anything on your system to be able to cause a brick nor a semi-brick

Ok and where do I start to get it to work again? Is sending it to nintendo the only solution?
