N-Card loader 1.45 and XMenu 2.53 released (test)

Download play improvements

The DSGBA team have released version 1.45 and a new X-Menu version 2.53 for the N-Card. This version is intended for internal testing and isn't a final release, but big improvements come alongside the X-Menu v2.53. Download play support has supposedly been improved for a large number of ROMs. For more information refer to the change log below.[title:N-Card 1.45/2.53 change-log]Loader 1.45

1 Optimization of a flash bottom of some of the procedures, there is a need to quickly re-formatted, upgrade before you file backup

2 added a formatting options menu, press and hold the boot into START + SELECT

A total of three options :

CANCEL = cancellation, without formatting

QUICK FORMAT = Fast formatting

FULL FORMAT = fully formatted (not already done Gain said)

3 remove some of the old 3DMENU procedures, the release of a number of NDS Memory

4 Backup four amendments to the filing of a problem, running 1,158, enter the menu SaveBackup sometimes die in the (need to test)

5 removed the wait.bmp improve wait for the nine dots picture rotation, color can be installed in global

X-Menu 2.53

3 some to be desired :

(1) on this machine to increase the ECC protection procedures. At present, no increase in the protection of all, it was sometimes impossible to guide the machine.Then copy the need to re-rom again, under normal circumstances that's good enough.

Damn N-Card has turned out to be an awesome cart. I just got it because I wanted 2GB with no speed or compatibility issues, and couldn't be bothered finding the right MicroSD card.

Now we've got soft reset and download play. I'm pretty happy with it.

Anyone tested this out yet?

From what I remember hearing download play used to not work at all, I think. I can't be bothered checking all those rom numbers but maybe they just made it up to par with most other carts but not fully compatible? I don't know.

Also, I can't fully make out the poor English, but are they implying that you can receive someone else's download play data from within the cart menu? That'd be a pretty nice feature.

Here's what I translated. Not sure how accurate it is. Any native Chinese speakers want to translate?
I left a couple of things that are pretty easy to understand from the machine translation. I put a (?) next to the things I'm not certain about.

1 Fixed the 9 dot colour problem in global.ini

2 Added/ increased support for download play on the following ROMs:
0003;........1156;
Only some have been tested. Not all have been tested yet.

3 Some things that need to be improved:
(1) 对发送到子机的程序增加ECC保护。目前没加保护所有，有时无法引导子机。
这时需要重新复制这个rom一遍，一般情况下就好了。
(2) 目前发现0856不能引导子机，应该是程序BUG,以后修正
(3) Currently cannot use download play and soft reset together (?)
(4) When download play is started the ROM becomes slow (?)

4 ROMs that can use download play will have a wireless symbol to the right of their icon.
5 If you find download play fucks with your games, you can turn it off in global.ini。
6 这个版本兼容1.45U盘程序，把卡内原来的dsystem和xmenu.dat删掉，复制新版xmenu.dat到卡上即可(注意提前备份存档)

Actually download play works for any cart except thosethat have the encryption (mainly first party games)

Well you don't know what you are talking about, since I have been using download play on my N-Card since I got it. Some games like NSMB and Mario Kart didn't work, but other games like Sonic Rush did work.

Is anyone else having problems soft-resetting out of Mario Kart? It just freezes up when I try with Mario Kart, but works fine with any other games.

I'm testing the D & P with this firmware and I'm really impressed. Congratulations to N-Card Team, and of course, to Cyclo Team, that has compeled the improvements of other FCs on the market.
