So once I figured out that Gameboy Interface could use a real Gameboy Advanced as a controller I know I needed to use one as a controller. So I got all the materials to make an ultimate controller.
Pretty simple all it took was,
The Gameboy Advanced (duh)
GBA to GC link cable
GBA Grip
DS Rumble Pak
and some cheapo rechargeable AA's
Here is how it looks all together.
So how well does it work? Pretty darn well. Tested both Pokemon Pinball and Drill Dozer. The rumble works great and controls work just as well as good as well using a gameboy. Only thing is sometimes the gameboy can freeze and needs to be restarted. It must be an issue with GBI as I have tested my 2nd backlighted GBA and it does the same thing. Oh well maybe this will be patched in the near future? Anyways I am very pleased with this set up and I don't think any Hori or 3rd party could beat this set up.
