you only need to install ios60 using the installer

I've tried a to run the installer a few more times this morning, it's still sticking

I've installed cIOS36_rev8, then tried running the 4.0 hacktools, following the guide to the word. Everytime, after running it I get to content 15/15 ID0000000e...Done and then nothing else? It just sits there, I don't get the next option. Anyone know why and how to get past this?

I'm running 3.2.

Any idea Kongsnutz?

If you want Trucha back after installing 4.0 using the Direct Nintendo update use Waninkoko's IOSDowngrader (not CIOS Downgrader) or use Gecko OS as that works 100% tested.
Custom guitar Hero will require a IOSdowngrader run.

Nice now I can run my trucha signed games directly from the disc channel instead of Gecko OS

it's like being on 3.2 again but much better.

run it again and write down exactly what it says last, remember to only select the IOS60 parts

That's what I did. As it hits the 15/15 it says done but then it simply sits there at the foot of the screen and doesn't do anything else. The only thing I can do is a hard reset

as long as you have cios installed you can update anyway, then try moving a wad (NOT HBC) to the sd and see if it plays.

if it did 15/15 packs then that should be it.

can you take a pic of your screen at that point at all



NOTE: you can still install the IOS60 with the installer after 4.0 has been updated...........so no loss but make sure your CIOS is working first before update.

Thanks for the consistent updates! I have one last question (really the last!)

From post #196 page 14 quepaso, he mentioned using Wakikoko's update *Assumingly method 2* and mentioned that channels copied to the SD card WON'T work unless the same channel is on the Wii memory itself and you told him to follow the guide on page 1... what exactly do you mean in order to solve this?

that was before i added method 2 basically i told him to do method 2 without it being there already. (basically just install ios60 after waninkokos update to solve it)

Just do method 2 and you'll be laughing.......everything works....

i installed cIOS36_rev8, i then updated my wii to 4.0, then i ran ios downgrader.

I can install wads and play them from my wii but i can't play them from the sd menu. Is it possible to play them from sd card?

Thx for this pack, but it doesn't work for me.

Here is how i updated my wii 3.3e to 4.0e :
1 . install the waninkoko's updater
2 . oh sh!t i can't play "illegal" VC/Wiiware with SD menu
3 . yeah ! i found this guide
4 . try to install it
5 . oh noooes ! it just ask me to install ios61 and shop channel, not ios60

So my question is : how can i only install IOS60 ?

I have non soft mod, just my D2Ckey.

You skipp IOS61 then it asks for IOS60.............and you press ok

It can't be any different for you than anyone else and has to work

Do you have CIOS installed before you updated?

I tried this.
After press B for the IOS61 it ask me for Shop Channel, so i press B again, and... "press any key to exit".

And no, i don't have any cIOS. In my mind cIOS = softmod, i'm wrong ?
I just have installed some IOS to fuk the Error 002, that's all.

Hi,

I have pal wii with a wiikey and on 3.2e and would like to know the following:

1/. Will pirated wads wii ware + vc games work as normal? And can they be moved from the wii menu to the sd card and then back from to sd card to the wii menu and work like normal?

2/. I understand the hbc will work like normal and any applications within it like wad manager and gecko os is that correct?

3/. Can backup games be run from the disc cahnnel as normal?

Once answered i will attempt to update.
I understand i should install cIOS36 rev 8 before i upgrade.
