Hacking My System menu 4.0 install guide

you don't delete channels with WAD manager, you delete them via the system menu

WAD manger removes the tickets and without tickets, the system Menu can not run any channel, even if it has been copied on SD


think as if you were only using legal channels and didn't know WAD manager exists (I know, it's hard)...

Okay... I'll try that. But what happens when I want to remove the title completely? AnyTitle Deleter?

if you still have the wad, you use WAD Manager

ANyTitle Deleter works for any installed channels but it requires an IOS that has not been fixed by Nintendo (maybe there are versions using cIOS)


it's not that complicated, really, the problem is that people are using stuff without asking themselves how they are working and what they are doing

yeh mate , just use the Move option in memory manager it'll delete it from wii for you.........try that

Okay... It worked! And by moving Potpourri back to the System Memory, I was able to use WADManager to remove it! =)

BTW:: I've created three easy-to-use HBC apps, that make the install a breeze. I've created the "meta.xml" and a lame "icon.png" for each. Feel free to use them, if you like! =)

as long as you have cios installed you can update anyway, then try moving a wad (NOT HBC) to the sd and see if it plays.

if it did 15/15 packs then that should be it.

can you take a pic of your screen at that point at all



NOTE: you can still install the IOS60 with the installer after 4.0 has been updated...........so no loss but make sure your CIOS is working first before update.

Good question! I'll have a look later when I've kicked the missus off of the TV! I'm only assuming but I only have a few basic applications installed (internet channel, Gamma etc) and game saves. I've not got any WiiWare or VC games installed, so chances are I do have the space. I'll find out asap and get back to you..

I have noticed my guide being used on a plethora of sites, including Japanese ones........ wow never knew it would be that widely used........hahaha

Installed CiosV8 again, my Wii now displays a totally blurry image The ISO60 still sticks at the same point. I'll try moving a WAD and then update to 4.00

1) Why don't you install IOS61?
2) Can WAD manager still be used to put new games on? Don't really understand the use of IOS16 either but seems it's illegal to run or something

Since cIOS36 rev. 8 is installed, skip the IOS60/IOS61 Installer, and move on to Waninkoko's Firmware Updater 4.0. After this installs (20-30min.), then try patching IOS60.

Yeh he's doing the 4.0 update now, i don't think somehow that's his problem tho.

I think maybe he has a static ip and that's whats doing it........ a network problem, just another option im yet to explore in solving this

So just to recap, to keep VC titles from a 3.2 with the shop IOS51 installed/ backup games with a modchip

Update HBC
Install cIOS36v8
Install IOS60 update, don't bother with IOS61 update.
Allow the wii to download 4.0 from nintendo

Should all be sorted?

Don't need to use waninkoko's 4.0 installer, or cios249 whatever that is?
