all he needs to do is update all his IOS's+cIOS and get neogamma with the wip patches or usbloader cfg/gx and get an already patched version of the ISO

If you have wifi connected use Dopios v8 to update your ios's DONT TOUCH ios30 any others you can update. You dont need to patch the game if you use Usbloadergx to load it as the new versions have the patch in them.

for Usbloadergx do you have to load games through usb or can you also do DVDs too?

1. If you're using gator, you have a cIOS and don't need to use Trucha Bug Restorer. Just run the installer, using IOS249 as the IOS
2. Get rid of Gamma. It's outdated. Use neogamma
3. The latest version of neogamma has a fix for NSMB
4. You run NUS Downloader on your computer. Check Pack>Wad and use it to download the latest version of IOS53. Install the wad with wad manager.

How do you install neogamma?

you'll have to run it through a forwarder or through HBC unless you can get a full channel

install it with wad manager it just launches neogamma of your sd card without having to use the HBC
