I'm new. So I got CFW yesterday because I bought a new SD Card. After I downloaded the CFW, I got some CIA files and installed them. Today, I open my 2DS and it doesn't boot up. It boots only without the SD. I reinserted it back into the DS when it is at the menu and it says that the SD is NOT accessible. I take it out and put it into my PC to check it and IT ISN'T FUCKING DETECTED!!!! I tried on two different PCs! I think the SD is corrupted but I just got CFW and bought that new SD. Please someone help. Also, if I save up for a new and bigger and FUCKING LEGIT SD card, how would I get my CFW back? I checked my version in the settings and it said Sys 11.2.0-35E. Tell me how please! P.S. I'm nooby af.

buy a real sd card and copy luma files back onto it, also get a refund on the fake sd card, sellers won't stop selling fakes until people stop putting up with it

I recommend getting a real SD card like Sandisk or Kingston on either ebay or Amazon. They are dirt cheap depending on the size you want, like 32GB for example.

Ebay and amazon are full of fakes (with the exception of orders fulfilled by amazon directly, rather than a random seller), especially if your going for the cheapest option, I recommend going to a proper pc/tech reseller like curries/pc world, they usually have offers on sd cards and at least you know they aren't some fly by night Chinese knockoff reseller, positive feedback on ebay means nothing when it comes to sd cards as most people are just completely ignorant and dot even realise they bought a fake before leaving that "wow much cheap A****" feedback

@gamesquest1, they are legit shopping sites. Bunch of legitimate sellers with very high ratings have tons of SD cards at an affordable price. I had bought a legit SanDisk Ultra Class 10 32GB MicroSDHC Card with an adapter from a reputable legit seller through Amazon over a couple of weeks ago. It came in the mail a few days later after it shipped, and I enjoyed it when using the card on the 2DS as it works perfectly with zero problems. It's the REAL deal.

Did you test it with H2testw, for instance? It could easily be a fake, and only once you go above the real amount, you'll have issues.
I've bought cards off Ebay multiple times, and I always test them. I've gotten cheapish deals on some cards that turned out to be real, but some where certainly fake and gave me issues once I went above the real capacity.
You can't say "It's the REAL deal". There are fakes in a lot of places, even if many who sell them still have a good reputation.

No, I'm not intending to test it out with H2Testw. I've seen so much risks with that software. All I did was just format the SD card to FAT32 at the allocation unit size of 32KB. I did not have such problems with it.

An SD Card is an SD Card. SanDisk makes ALL kinds of their own SD Cards that they gave to stores and warehouses for them to sell for profit.

what risk these test programs fill the "empty" space on the card then deletes the blank files it filled the card with and report the findings back to you

Are you trolling, you do know that people who make fakes don't just write "fake sd card" on the side, they tend to write sandisk or Kingston.....because Sandisk and Kingston make good sd cards the fakes illegitimately use their name, logos and packaging to trick stupid people into believing they are genuine

Tch. Just move on already. If there is a difference on fake and real SD cards, do some research.

Two of my Micro SD Cards I purchased for both 2DS and N3DSXL respectively have a "BM/BN MADE IN CHINA" writing along with the part number on the back, so they are genuine and legit as I checked.

I've had cards that looked exactly the same as their legit counterparts and were still fake. And risks when testing with H2testw? What?

I see you are a specialist. Like a Rambo of SD cards.
Is mine legit? Says Chineze on the back

I'm done. Can't reason with both you @fatsquirrel and @gnmmarechal telling me what's fake and what's legit in the SD Cards. And to the OP, be very careful of what kind of SD Card you purchased in the future.
... It's far more important to check an SD card by testing it with a tool such as H2testw than "researching" on the looks of the card, given that there are many fakes that looke exactly like the original. You're wrong. You're done, not because we cannot be reasoned with, but because your arguments make little sense.... You put more faith in the look of the card than in the card itself. How stupid is that? Let me tell you, it's VERY stupid.
