Today's my name-day, so how can I celebrate this day without topic on the GBATemp?

Wow first time hearing of this name day business.. How do you celebrate it? Do you get presents? It sounds like you're hijacking someone else's birthday just cos you got the same name

In some families you make parties to celebrate your name day

Well, the adults make parties. They like drinking!
In my age you're lucky by getting some money. My problem is: the name "Kevin" isn't really popular in Poland, so nobody knows when my name-day is

How do you celebrate it?
We meet our family (or friends.. or family and friends
smile.gif
), we talk, we eat.. Something like birthday. Well.. Actually, apart from birthday cake, there are no differences between celebrating name-day and birthday

Do you get presents?
Of course. Not as good as on birthday or Christmas, but we do

Random fact, imeniny is the same word in Russia,, and imeninick means birthday person(the persons whose birthday it is)

It's imendan in Croatian. It's no big deal here, though. If people happen to notice or know it's your name-day, they congratulate (along with corny jokes on how (in)appropriate your name is), but that's about it.

Imeninick is a form of imenik, usually imeninick is used for younger children.
Erm.. What language are you talking about? I mean - in which language does this "imeninick" and "imenik" exist? I've googled "imeninick", but i haven't found anything.

Hey, people.. So the greetings are over? It's not too late - come on, wish me something wonderful
