Can you check to make sure it isn't just the keyboard?

I think so its the keyboard keys as said.Check it in the notepad.
If that doesn't work check if your keyboard driver is up-to-date.

Detect it in what context? Also, BackStop is now defunct. There's no point in having it installed.

Right click this pc or my computer and click manage.You will see a device manager.In that window you will find the keyboard.Open it and click update driver.I hope it helps.
