Is it possible to have more than one custom firmware such as luma 3ds and cakes cfw using boot manager without having an emuNand? That would be nice because I would like to test out more than one CFW such as SHADOWNand. The thing is that use Luma 3ds as my main CFW.

Oh you are so mislead, my child.
First, CFW's are only act as a means of reading your NAND. So you can run Luma3DS, CakesFW, Corbenik, ect. all on the same NAND without hassle. They won't have any negative side effects and you don't need another emuNAND, you can run them all on the same emuNAND or sysNAND.
ShadowNAND is a mini-CFW and runs from the NAND, but you can also boot CFW's from it as well like your normal A9LH.

If I have different CFWs, will the menus be separate/different?

All CFWs act independent of each other. Thus they will all function the they were intended, so CakesFW and Corbenik will still have their own boot menus. They will still all read the same NANDs, thus games, themes, saves, and such will be the same regardless of what CFW you are using

So pretty much if I install a game on Luma 3ds it would apear on Cakes CFW also?

CFWs only read the NAND, they don't actually write to it. Thus switching between them does not effect the NAND, they only read the information off it.
In short, no matter what CFW you are running nor the amount of CFWs you are running, they will not effect your NAND details. So games installed on any of the CFWs will appear no matter what CFW you are running.
Seriously, just set up a bootloader and test it for yourself. I used to run like 6 CFWs, all on the same NAND. Now I am dual-booting Corbenik and a private CFW, both on the same NAND.
