Is that an eboot version of the patcher, like the one we had for games that wouldn't run on 5.50 GEN-D and 5.03 GEN-B?

Yes, ISO Tool allows you to do the prometheus patch directly on your PSP.

I really hope this game is worth it. I have spent the last few hours trying to get this working, on my third attempt at downlo...errr purchasing, a working copy that I can decrypt and get running. I'm on 5.50 GEN-D3, is this a futile attempt? I tried using ISO Tool on the psp to decrypt, but the first file loaded up to the race-loading screen then froze there. After that I just got black screens or error messages..

I tried the demo on PS3 and it's fun, but the one track got boring quick.

anyone else seeing issues with the mod/kart selection screen? or whatever is on the left side of the screen during a race? it looks all scrambled to me, or doesn't show up at all.

Sorry to ask again, I just didn't exactly get a direct answer before- Can you change the controls/button layout in the game-options menu?

That is, not with the macrofire plugin (because I plan on purchasing it for the Go)?

Also, if you like the default controls, that's great- I didn't after playing the demo (and I didn't see an option to change the controls there), which is why I'm asking about them.

I got it working without errors on 5.50 GEN D3 using ISO Tool 1.51 (http://www.qj.net/qjnet/psp/psp-homebrew-iso-tool-v151.html). In ISO Tool just go to "Patch" and then "Patch Prometheus " and you're done.
