well, i changed 5 or 6 different HDs, i tried upgrading and downgrading the system and nothing.
most importantly i can play the games when i first back them up from originals, but when i store them and pc and then put them back on HD they dont work.
what else can explain this?

Which app are you using to move them from your HDD to your PC? That is most likely your problem.

ye, i thought of that already, used WBFS Manager, im trying others now

I've been using this one with great success lately.

Hey,

I was wondering what SD card i should use as the tutorial obviously says non-SDHC

Thanks

2GB or under will be fine.

Yea that's OK then, i was wondering what kind though, can anyone recommend me one to get as most SD cards are SDHC?

Thanks again

I have a wii that I updated and works great now. I have my own wii that is currently still at 3.3 firmware. Is updating it to 4.2 using the guide enough or do I still need to modify it to 4.2 afterwards?

just look in the OP for the update to 4.2 part of this guide and you are good to go.

I just today got a new wii from ebay and have noticed it has homebrew installed,
The homebrew channel version is beta 9 the wii system menu is at 3.2e,
I was wondering if it would be safe to just start xzxero's guide now and get all the latest stuff and updated to 4.2e,
Please reply.

Question:

1. Update step
It install this IOS70-64-v6687.wad

2. Modify step
It install this IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad

Does it make a diff if IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad is used in the Update step ?
Or is IOS70-64-v6687.wad the patched wad that doesn't give the 003 error if the wii is region hacked to U from korean ?

Is doing that likely to cause me any more problems?.

yeah...usually when people offer suggestions they are just trying to replace one problem with another. rather than rely on everyone else to tell you what to do, why don't you google your issues? the upside down HBC issue has been beaten to death.......

Actually I think my upside down menu is cool,
I'm keeping it
