I'm not sure if the default icons r located in the mlc or not. they may be. formatting should correct that if that were the case though, so they may be located elsewhere. with formatting, they would've been recreated by some flash file or simply untouched. it's difficult to say really.

downgrading can't be done afaik. what happens with the 3ds is that it detects missing tiles and redownloads them. there's no downgrading involved. that's y I suggested it. I've never heard of this problem either, so I'm just guessing at this point.
last week i have formatted my wiiu and didnt appears the icons

before i created this topic i seen two similars

@godreborn is correct. I'd backup all your save games that you care about and reformat your Wii u. Then use my guide (in my sig and in the stickies) to setup the latest hacking methods.
so i format my wiiu again?

The reason your disc and wii channels are not showing is because you region changed your Wii U you need to change it back to the real region for the channels to show.

strange. I modified the sys_prod.xml to make my system region free in both redNAND and sysNAND (I checked in system config tool on both NANDs). everything went well, and I didn't have this issue of missing icons. did u modify the sys_prod.xml? if so, I could take a look at it if u like.

if u want to backup your saves, I'd suggest saviine. it's very easy to use. just make sure to click okay or whatever it says on the pc or the system may appear to freeze (since it's waiting for ur command on the pc side). what may be even easier, and faster, is system config tool. it can't inject saves for some reason, but it can back them up all one-by-one without having to open the game. note, it may look like the system freezes when going to this feature. this happens if u have A LOT of games installed. it reads over the entire hdd as it doesn't use the metadata indexer which I learned is called tiles.list.

if it necessary to format i wont backup any save cause i already have backup ;)

this is what the important portion of my sys_prod.xml (I backed up the original file and store it on an external hdd) looks like:

<game_region type="unsignedInt" length="4" access="700">2</game_region> change the 2 to whatever region ur in. I only remember region 1 being Japan, region 2 being USA, the rest is exponential, so the next one I believe is 4 which I don't know what location that is.

Reporting back: DIDNT WORKED i did everything you sayed, i changed <game_region type="unsignedInt" length="4" access="700">119</game_region> to <game_region type="unsignedInt" length="4" access="700">2</game_region> but still not appearing im realy sad about my icons not appearing, somebody have a solution? thanks

This problem occurs when you use region hax on the WiiU then go and create a new nnid the end result is the disc channels disappear for some reason. To fix this you must delete the nnid and then use region hax to change the region back to the correct region for your console then the missing icons will display again. This has been discussed several times over on the region hax thread and it is one of the reasons you will see me several times in that thread telling people not to use region hax.

also, u may have the wrong region. region 2 is USA, and based on the region u have entered on temp, u don't live in the USA. I have region hax installed, and I don't plan to change that, because I don't have the need to create a new NNID. and, even if I did, I backed up my original sys_prod.xml in case something bad were to happen. I've backed up all important or modded files on my systems. I even included the original vWii theme since I'm using a theme on my system. it's always best to take precautions like this.

ur sys_prod.xml looks correct. I checked each number. the region is also correct if u bought it in New York. I would edit ur post by deleting that link though. the sys_prod.xml contains ur serial number which u didn't mark out.

u should delete the new NNID first. I think that's what's preventing it from working.

I bought a wiiu without this icons, with a research I belive the guy used region free hax, I would like to know if you used ftp everywhere to edit this file.

Edit: Yep you can use ftp everyhere, edit the file, and create a new account (it is not create a new nnid but a new character)
