2008 saw the release of FPPS (First Person Parkour Simulator) and vomit inducer Mirror's Edge. While there were hopes for a franchise from publisher EA, the somewhat disappointing sales figures seemed to have nipped that plan in the bud.

"Seemed" being the key word here.

This coincides with DICE's previous statements that it didn't want to be just the "Battlefield factory", and that they were looking to add a bit more variety to their portfolio.

Keep in mind that we don't much at all about the project yet - it hasn't even been officially confirmed by EA. It may take some time before we know a release date or what systems it will run on.

Personally, I was hoping for a rhythm based spinoff, but I guess my dreams of playing "Man in the Mirror's Edge" will have to wait just a little while longer.

Let's hope this project isn't just nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Hopefully ME2 will the edge over its competitors which the first game lacked.

EDIT: USN threads really are nothing more than a competition to make the best pun. An action which is mirroring throughout the userbase.

Somewhat liked the first one, nice to see a new IP though. Hopefully this one is just as good on some aspects and better on others.

I really should finish the first game some time, got it from a Steam sale a few months ago. I did like it, though and more innovative games (at least, the original ME felt like one to me) is never a bad thing.

    Something, something, mirror joke.

This doesn't reflect well on my wit, does it?

All I can say is yes.

    So much yes.

Edit: Fine. The anticipation for this game will keep me on the edge of my seat.

Wait until it becomes a daily/flash sale on Steam. If it doesn't, get it on the last day of the sale. It's 5$ at the moment but may get cheaper.

part 1 was great even on the iOS and I hope they do the same now but with more variety
PS - thought of making a pun but decided to concentrate on rather playing a game
