Do you know anyone that can, or can you at least check all my files are correct for Salty? This has worked before, I can't remember how.. :'^
I can at least attempt to help with the SaltySD stuff, Send me a PM with screenshots of your SaltySD setup.

I haven't posted any textures, but I can if you'd like them. As for the Garc not packing, it's most likely due to a decompressed file that wasn't done properly. 9/10 out of ten if your game is crashing when you try to load the pokemon, something is wrong with the rebuilt Garc, or the texture files themselves. Without being able to see exactly what you're doing to your pokemon, and how you're extracting/rebuilding the garc then it's hard for me to pinpoint your exact issue.

Personally for this tutorial I use SaltySD. I haven't tried the Luma LayeredFS method myself, but I'm sure it works just fine for the edits. My advice would be to dump a fresh garc, then apply the edits to ONE pokemon, use a layeredFS methos of your choice to check for the edits/crash. If it crashes, you need to make sure there are no extra files or decompressed files within the garc when it's rebuilt. (If it crashes when rebuilding the garc, same thing, extra files are present or decompressing didn't work).

If you follow the tutorial to the T you should have no problems outside of your personal edits. The only common issue I see with people is leaving both the compressed and uncompressed garc of the same name (one edited, one not) and it either crashes PK3DS/Main game. I'd be more than happy to walk anyone through it if they are having trouble with the written tutorial or the video. :D

Also, the textures for Articuno are attached. Just replace 01829 in the garc, or 01830 for the shiny one (requires renaming) with the one in the RaR.

Thank you :"
A question
You know how some files in e.g a/0/8/3 have multiple files in that file? How do I view them? The files in the file have an extension of .bg and .bin..

Is that confusing?-

Hi Magickhat!, I thank you for create this thead!
I've created my own thread to show my work replacing textures: https://gbatemp.net/threads/jenkkrystal-sun-moon-texture-mod-wip-english-spanish.476981/
The version of Ohana3ds that you posted here is working fine for almost all textures, but I'm having some problems with some textures:
  • I can't edit succesfully textures .L4, present in elements like fire of charmander/ponyta or smoke of Gastly/Koffing (I can replace it succesfully with Ohana3DS, then I save the changes, and the problem comes, when I re-open the file, the texture now its shown with vertical lines, not filled, as it should, and in-game, it is buggy), you can try to do yourself. I would really like to solve this problem.
  • The other thing that I would liek is change colour effects for this elements (fire, smoke, etc.), if you know how.
Well, the thing is, where do you got that version of Ohana3ds capable to Modify textures?, I don't know who is the author. Maybe he could help me.

Thank you for this tools and tutorial!

You actually can't edit those because they aren't just textures, they include hard coded values in the animations themselves that determine the color/texture of things like smoke and fire. As well as the flames on Pokemon like Moltres. As far as I know, there is no way to edit any of them. The most you can do is remove them entirely.

Well, maybe I cant change the colours of that elements because is hard coded, but i am pretty sure that is possible modify the textures .L4, just Ohana3DS dont save properly those files. Still I would like to talk with the author of that version of Ohana3DS, Do you know who is?

Not of the flames and stuff it isn't. I'm not sure who the author of the BCH version is but you can find the original author on the Ohana release thread here. https://gbatemp.net/threads/wip-ohana3ds-tool.392576/
