I've got some problems. So I put MC2DS and ZLIB1 files in the same folder with region. It converts and I get the testmap.map of 8 mb size, but when i put it in my Sd card and try to play the map in the DSCraft all I get is Guru meditation error. What should i Do?
P.S. Sorry for my English.

We have to remember that DsCraft does not support some of the things that we usually find on those maps, like, lava; books; flowers; etc....so, the solution I found was, to use MCEdit to create a map. 1st experiment was a flat map, and it works....i can use it on DsCraft, however, i try to put some blocks from other maps (copy/paste) and it didn't work....because DsCraft can only handle an height of 29 blocks (from the ground to the sky). I'm still making some tests to see if i'm able to do something...

But for now i'll use the flat map to do some pixel art

I have been playing this for a few days now and here are some screens.

I made a really glitchy pool, a really bad diving board(had to make it like that since there are not any ladders). I also made a pretty big house and put my username on the roof, also made it have purple carpet

and windows.

Nice, could you share your Map, please ?

On another note, I finally encountered the "water turns to rock" bug last night and I'm just about to start looking into it.

So, that's how you work now hein? Always in the dark watching the thread...and then, BAM! Updates!

And always good stuff!!

Just one question, the doors and the ladders change with texture packs?

Smealum does like valve: Stay for years doing nothing, and then BAM! a new game.

That's an interesting question, but i believe it will change with thexture packs.

When there will be redstones? Want to create some systems.

Why there are the word "mobs" on the lower screen? Is mobs going to appear in next release?

I'm not to fussed about redstone actually - Can't get my head around how large some contraptions are just to 'make' something simple like a lift or a 'clock pulse'

Mobs on the other hand I'd prefer + 'fire' might be nice as well....
..... TNT to clear large areas as well

Thanks for news on your advancement

I saw you fixed the inventory swap bug too, that's great
smile.gif

Good luck on the water turning to solid block bug.

Do you think you will make 2 different version (normal and survival) or will it be an option in the same released .nds ?

Fix bugs and interface before starting survival IMO.
I'd rather have a complete classic mode
tongue.gif

The compass / day/night cycle on the lower screen will look better, right?
Any news on a basic local multiplayer?

Sure they do. For example, jolicraft :

Redstone is out of the question, just won't happen (well, I seriously doubt it at least); probably same goes for minecarts unfortunately.

TNT is more than feasible though.

Once it's done (if it ever does get done), it'll all be in one .nds. However, survival and mobs ARE NOT coming in the next release. Again, the stuff with creepers I've shown you so far was all testing code, there are no mobs yet and there won't be any for quite a while.

I agree, that's why I'm focusing on getting classic to work for now.
There won't be a new bottom screen unless someone makes one that works with current files.
And multiplayer is even further away than survival.

QUOTE(SlaughterBrother2 @ Aug 29 2011, 10:44 PM)
woo! Ladders and doors will be in the game! Would be quite usefull for constructions.
It seems pointless but is it possible to make a completly flat map?
Isn't there one available already ?
But yeah, it would be possible and not too hard. If you really want one, I guess you could always get one for Minecraft (or make one with MCedit) and use the mc2ds program I posted earlier to convert it.

Bonus : screenshots from a world a friend made a Minecraft which I converted :

Actually this is a better idea.
Thinking about it - if we have have minecarts and mobs etc, we'll need 'crafting' as well to build weapons etc

It'll be best to add these to a stable 'creative' than a bug ridden version IMHO
