Having played all Metroids and all GBA and DS Castlvanias I was wandering, what other good games for the DS use the same style? If it matters, I like the Metroids much better...

I meant games that are not Metroids or Castlvanias....
Ah OK, I thought because you said you`ve played all Castlevanias on GBA and DS I should recommend the very first and arguable the best Metroidvania

-Cave Story (PC/WiiWare)
-Scurge: Hive (DS)
-Spiderman Web of Shadows (very light...) (DS)

Hmm, I can`t remember more...

Ive never been a metroid fan but ive been playing them one by one latley. In order i just finished symphony of the night and i have to say.... Every single casltevania ive played so far, except this one... sucks... I dont get the attraction this series has, its boring, it has absolutley no atmosphere whatsoever.... Im so friggen bored while playing these games that i wish i never decided to play them.

Symphony of the night did it right, but ive played the GBA/DS ones now and i have to say there pretty fin boring.

Oh well this isnt a castlevanmialove/hate thread but hey.... Metroid will always be better in my opinion.

As for metroidvania games they all pretty much suck compared to the main 2. :\

Wow, I felt the exact opposite. For example when climbing the condemned tower in DoS I had goosebumbs!
The music in that part is simply amazing and you climb the tower with that melodic, melancholic music and you have finally made it to the top to fight an enormous boss til it destroys the ground and you fight with it in the air til the bottom of the tower. Most epic!!!
But I know these kind of games are not for everyone. I love to backtrack and some people hate it...

Man, the castlevania games on the gba and the ds are the best castlevania games ever made. And I think they keep getting better! Order of Ecclesia ruled my life for almost 2 weeks straight.

It's not a charity drive, they're outright asking for more money.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
if you send like 25% of it to charity and take the rest as "operating costs" then it's perfectly legal. that's what half the big charities do anyway

  • Veho @ Veho:
This is not a charity, it's just them asking for money so they can have money.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
yeah they didn't @SylverReZ i'm just saying that would be more effective

so glad tipping culture is not a thing here but doesn't stop some places from trying... bars for some reason always make you type the price into the card scanner and i always type my pin... luckily it checks for that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@The Real Jdbye, I have a thought. Do the charities even donate to help poor African children or anybody in need?
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
drunk people tip more i guess
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and the nearest pizza place does it too

    Drunkards buy more beer.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@SylverReZ africa doesn't want our help. the african government gets mad every time we donate anything because it makes them seem weak

that pizza place also happens to serve beer... i sense a pattern here
  • Veho @ Veho:
    They accept it though.
  • Veho @ Veho:
They make a show of "not needing help" but then take it anyway.
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean they do have a point, developing nations don't need a can of beans, they need tools to grow their own beans.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But that's a very long term project and it's easier to just pelt them with cans.
