could someone help me or guide me to a tutorial on how to remove the update partition with WiiScrubber. will post back with results if the game doesnt freeze afterwards.

I am not sure if its the Fat32 fault (layer break?) or if its an issue with compatibility. i also checked a new file which is currently loading, its said to work better than the one i ahve, which seems to be a underdumped version...

Mine freezes at the same place.

What rev of hermes 222 did you try? I believe GX supports 4 but not 5 - I use rev 899 GX w/ hermes 222 r4 no problem.

I'm using r4 as well! I'm looking all over the place for a fix, but J0ker is the only other mention I could find of freezing at that particular point...

Yeah this is where i freeze Too.. FK i got the 7.92GB release
using Hermes 222 v4 and waninoko 249 freezes at the same spot.

Having to remove the update partition is just a myth.

Wiipower I think we can chalk this one up to noobs with ugly cIOS's and messed up systems. Simple combo works: 222, CFG v56, FAT32/WBFS/NTFS (should work).

It froze for me with the wiitard release at the baby's cry cutscene, I changed versions and it worked.

No. I am at the first save point with no freeze so far.
2. Which filesystem did you use? Or did you use a disc?
500GB HDD FAT32. game is .wbfs 2GB-32k Split
3. Which cIOS did you try? Please only post the cIOS your loader actually used. There's no point in writing about Hermes and Waninkoko in CFG for example, if you have both installed, but don't tell CFG correctly to use the one or the other.

5. Which release did you use?

6. Did you remove the update partition manually? If yes, how?
Wii game manager v1.5. Copy option, copy game partition only.
7. Please describe the issue: Does it with the picture on screen? Black screen? "An error occurred"?

Will tell this ONCE

The "Proper" release by WiiTARD did not get nuked for nothing XD it made the Baby's Cry Hang what it is today XD

Get the IND release (the one that people said would get nuked)
metroid-other-m-ind is the filename Metroid_Other_M_USA_Wii-iND might also work to help you find it.
i used that ISO, i didn't have a single crash ALL game completed the game in 1 Go and got 100% of the items while i was at it, without turning off my wii

owh and removing the update partition is smart (if you wanna prevent ur wii from updating on accident) but as far as i heard/read it's not needed.

i unlocked the Theater and the Gallery

as far as i know i have not read about a single "Baby's Cry Crash/Hang" with this ISO (filename is up in the post USE IT)

Um... somebody on another forum uploaded their copy of other m and it seems to work. Can't post links due to legal and forum rules but prolly most people already know where.

generalm is right the iND version works flawlessly!! xD
