You have stumbled upon the world of ROM hacking it seems. Trouble is any game and is frequently seen to do its own thing with regards to how it stores and decodes languages so the would be ROM hacker tends to then have to be quite adaptable.
There are certain commonalities in various languages that make it slightly easier than trying to decode random data, and things you can do if you care to dip further into computing
I don't know what we are suggesting for pulling apart APK files into their constituent components (not all devices will have games you can explode into its constituent files), and Android ROM hacking is fairly primitive compared to most other things (mostly as I guess nobody really cares about the games for it).

Brazilian Portuguese ROM hacking is also pretty advanced (many translations for many consoles made independently of other things, was once a fairly extensive set of sites housing discussions though it died and what remains is a lot smaller, tools made and refined within it I went and shared back with the world).
