Sendak-and-Colbert-Huffing-Markers.png

He's the author of such children's books as Where the Wild Things Are, but well, to anyone who watched his interview with Stephen Colbert, he's not exactly a "children's book author". Ironically, he died on the same day (May 8th) as the day Colbert released "I am a Pole, and So Can You", which was the book that Colbert wrote during the interview with him originally as a joke.

Sendak died of a Stroke, but 4 days after it hit.

Please note: I'm not directly quoting anything from the article, as per the new sticky. If you want more info, see the source link.

You're allowed to cite the original article so long as it's properly quoted and then credited through its source.
It's just, not copying the WHOLE article, that's a no-no.

He also lived with his partner for 50 years. One year before their state legalized gay marriage, his partner died.

Sendak died the same morning as people in N.C. voted to ban gay marriage

First a Beastie Boy, now Maurice Sendak? What is happening to my childhood memories...

That could have been a very interesting collaboration. I'm seeing it now: Where the Beastie Things Are.

It should be said that this guy had a staggering amount of talent. Seriously, his ten sentence book has become one of the most beloved and cherished "children's" stories of all time; that's a hard feat to top.

Generally the "rule of three" is that whenever a famous person dies, two more famous people will die as well.

On topic though, it's a shame, he was a classic author and his Colbert Report interview was hysterical.

I apologize about being off topic but why do you use such an awkward format? Just center the picture, put the source at the end of your post and use "

"

On-Topic, I watched Mr. Sendak interview and it was one of the funniest things I've see on the Colbert Report.

Aldi grocery stores import most of they foods. I don't shop there anymore but remember way back going there and getting green beans in a can, and it had sticks in it, from Brazil irc. I'm surprised they are permitted to cause it not FDA approved/ inspected

If you think about it, ARGs are time travelers doing things in real time, before time and later time. That's why everything is messed up; they broke their time and life, and ended up mixing thoughts into reality and encoded data.
