With this little utility you can extract separetly the 3 partitions
then you can open this 3 partitions with Trucha and make modifications.

After modifications you can rebuild the iso.

The orginal iso is not modified.


1 - click on EXTRACT PARTITiON
2 - Choose Mario KArt Wii ISO
3 - Wait................................

4 - You get 3 iso : partition1.iso / partition2.iso / partition3.iso in the same directory (m kart iso)

5- you can use Trucha with this 3 iso.....


6 - Click on REBUILD PARTITION
7- Choose partition1.iso
8- Wait................................> new iso : rebuild.iso on the same directory

9 - Burn and Play: rebuild.iso


WARNING : Work Only with Mario Kart wii iso
: you need 9,5 go free (3 partitions + rebuild)

I suppose we can't modify the third partition then install it as a homebrew channel.

the scrubbed version of mario kart wii does not have the 3rd partition. you will be able to open the scrubbed version with trucha. i cannot confirm this myself, basing it on the 2 partitions it has

It's working only with a Mario Kart Iso with 3 partitions.

1st partition : Update files

2nd partition : Game with main.dol and 001 error (boot game)

3nd partition : Mario Kart Channel with main.dol and 001 error (install channel)

Ther is 2 main.dol 1 in the 2nd partition an 1 in the 3nd partition.

Not quite right. The scrubbed version has only two partitions of data BUT in the partition table it says it has 3 partitions. If you apply the Dif fix then it adds the partition data back in.

Both scrubbed versions (fixed and unfixed) cannot be opened in Trucha.

I take it you have hard coded the partition offsets in your code (hence the 'only works on mario kart" line). If you modified it to process the original partition table it would be more useful as then problem iso's could be split and used in Trucha - just a thought.

Thanks a lot. I've used this extractor to extract my Mario Kart SCRUBBED into 3 partitions. Then use trucha signer to extract the main.dol. Then, use generic wii patcher to remove 001 error from main.dol. Then replace back the main.dol. Then rebuild d iso before wii brickblock it. It works. Great thanks to wii00007 and dack for the help.

I have not the game (Jap iso), i can't test if it's working, but it work if the partitions are same.

To check the partitions:

open mario kart Jap iso with Winhex (or other hex viewer)

go to offset : $40000 (hexadecimal adress)

if you have this :

for smash brawl, the parttion structure is different...not working with a "universal extractor", maybe i can write a specific extarctor.

Brawl has channels for the VC games - you need to break those out too. The channel format is the same as a partition but the offset is at a different location IIRC.

This seems to be working fine for the JAP version
haven't tried to modify anything yet
but as least it extract and rebuild well

This is "my" generic Wii ISo Partitions extractor/ Rebuilder.

Working with all wii iso files i hope (except smash brawl...but see below), i use the original partition tables.


I added a specific extractor for Smash Brawl DVD9 (check the box for extract and rebuild ) WARNING you need 17 go free (14 partitions + rebuild).


With this little utility you can extract separetly all partitions, then you can open this partitions with Trucha and make modifications.

Useful with Mariokart and maybe with future nintendo games...


The orginal iso is not modified.


1 - click on EXTRACT PARTITiON
2 - Choose Wii ISO
3 - Wait................................

4 - You get x iso : partitionx.iso / partitionx.iso / partitionx.iso .....in the

same directory

5- you can use Trucha with this x iso.....


6 - Click on REBUILD PARTITION
7- Choose rebuild.inf
8- Wait................................> new iso : rebuild.iso on the same

directory

9 - Burn and Play: rebuild.iso
