I don't really want to start a new thread to ask this question, so I'm posting here. Do we have the tools necessary to change the way drift/speed/boosts work? I'm considering attempting an F-Zero patch or something.
My Mario Kart 7 game is a digital one, so the 1.1 patch was already included on it. Probably that's why I can play online through Hans without problems and i don't need to edit anything.
I'm not sure if retail copies shipped after the 1.1 patch already include it, though.

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.+1

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.+1

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
