I don't think anyone should worry about trying to figure out how to use DSLazy and MapleTrans. Unless you are able to translate and patch the whole game before the official translator group can, it'll be a waste of you time. That is, unless your just messing around and trying to learn how to hack.

Y'know if you guys need more people on your team you could pull people off the actual maple forums, alot of them are fluent.

Best of luck with the translation, this game could be a fun diversion from the actual experience.

Edit: That banner.. was it custom made? Cos those are the Cygnus knights, which weren't intended for this release. At least I don't think so

im greek,but i found a website with all the korean letters.
ill help the team with everything i got..coz..I LOVE MAPLESTORY!!!!!
just tell meh what to do and ill do it!
hope i get in the team coz i luv it so much..

That's the AP Patch. I believe we're all talking about the English Patch.

Yes it is. Most of the menu and items are translated. We are close to finishing and may possibly move on to translating the story soon.

Using machine translations will produce more work because someone will need to check the translations which may take a lot longer if the translations are way off.

How do you suggest you go from say.. The purple dog ancient war of sword (engrish translation) to say.. Blue Screamer, seeing as those who use translators generally don't have any grasp of the language.
(I used an example, before anyone feels like jumping on me >_>)

Korean -> English is faster than Korean -> Engrish -> Slightly better Engrish

I'd rather see the job done properly the first time, than a bunch of halfassed attempts.
