Hacking Manga on Supercard's Ireader or Alternate Program?

I would recommend using ComicbookDS, along with the PC app PictoDS to convert to yer manga to .cbds. Its got a manga setting for convenience.

i would have pointed to filetrip files of CBDS, but filetrip seems to be down atm.

n/p =), CBDS is a cool,nicely polished app, too bad its been abandoned (i think the dev got hired by ninty or something iirc...kinda like the jenesisDS guy).

i actually just started using it again with my new XL, comics look awesome on it =D

Problem, just comes up as a black screen on my DSi, nothing is loading. the cbds folder is on the root of my card, i downloaded the ini and picture file for the plugin, and i renamed it ComicBookDs.nds, i got rid of the .sc.nds

I would get it from filetrip, but of course it is down

hmm, its working fine here, i just dl'd from the same source to test.
be sure not to mistake/mix up the DStwo ini (that goes in the _dstwoplug folder) with the CBDS's ini (that does in the cbds folder).
also, make sure the comic/manga has the .cbds extension (not .cbr). use the pictoDS prog at the site i linked to convert em.

mabye i just have to wait a minute b4 the loading process is done, but also i dont have any mangas on my card yet either, so im gonna test it again.

Can't Find any manga's for Negima that can convert to .cbds. any sites with convertable files? the one i got only has jpegs and are unconvertable

o.0 You put the jpgs in a folder, drag and drop the folder onto the pictoDS UI and then click convert...

It says the cbds folder is not in the pictods directory.....weird


Just Changed the file output directory, working fine now!

Edit: i still get a black screen for a long period of time, and im 100% sure that the files are in the right place, and i have mangas on my card, im just gonna wait for filetrip to come back, im getting friggin irritated with this.

You might be trying to use an outdated version or something. The general process should be this:

Download CBDS and PicToDS. There will be a ComicBookDS.nds (or something similar) to copy to your card. Don't use the .sc.nds version, as that was made for slot-2 Supercards. Use PicToDS to convert your folders of .jpg images to .cbds archive files. Copy these to the CBDS folder on the root of your card. In the Supercard menu, launch ComicBookDS.nds and it will search the "CBDS" folder for *.cbds files and show you the appropriate mangas to peruse.
