Did you change the name of the ASUS softAP connection to Wi-Fi? Forgot to mention that in my last post.
Shouldn't it be attwifi? Otherwise the SSID wouldn't be right for the HomePass. Or does MACycle change it to attwifi as part of its code?

EDIT: Nevermind, I got it. The connection name itself has to be "Wi-Fi" and the SSID "attwifi". The MAC Address successfully changed, I'm just waiting on the StreetPass notification light. Thanks a lot for your help, duwen.

I'm having a hard time for my hotspotting working correctly. I am able to get the hotspot to show up on avaliable networks but whenever I get a device such as my iPhone or 3DS connected no data is going through when I try connecting to a browser and such.

Here is the device I bought.

Here is my setup.

I don't think this will have anything to do with why you can't get devices connected, but your networks are named incorrectly for using MACycle - the one named "HomePass" in your screengrab is the one that needs to be named "Wi-Fi" (that's the one that MACycle will be cycling the relays on), and the one that's currently named "Wi-Fi" should be changed to anything other than "Wi-Fi"

I'm not sure your info is correct. His naming is in line with mine.

Microsoft Virtual Mini... : "Virtual"
Broadcom 802.11n... : "Wi-Fi"

MaCycle changes broadcom (the real wireless adapter)'s ID and the virtual one copies it (via nature of the setup). That said, I'm sorry but I don't have any suggestions; only time I had a similar issue was when sharing was not setup --- which it appears to be in the screenshot.

The Custom Mac Address function isn't working for me, it says "connected" but when I enter the show hosted network command the Mac address displayed is my Wi-Fi card's original one. Random and Sequential Macs work just fine. Though I have to manually prompt the hosted network to restart each time.

I'm running Windows 8 x64 with a Ralink RT3090 802.11n Wi-Fi Adapter.

How do I stop my router from resetting everytime it changes MAC? Isn't it supposed to change the virtual mac? but it resets my main connection, dunno if I'm doing it wrong

That's how mine operates. I think the only way around that is to have a wired internet connection. (Since, in my experience, if you attempt to use two wireless adapters --- the virtual one simply moves to the active one)

I tried doing it wired but I was never able to get the DS to recieve the signal, it wasn't connecting, it's a little bit messy to get this right..

Whichever AP is set with the attwifi ssid is the one that MACycle will be changing the MACs on, in his case it's currently named "HomePass"; the network MACycle affects needs to be named "Wi-Fi".
I'm guessing what's happening on his setup is that MACycle is altering the MAC address of his main internet connection, but his softAP (with the attwifi ssid) is keeping a static MAC.

I finally got a hotspot and more importantly Mac Cycle working for me. I can finally join you guys in acquiring dozens of passes a day.

I tried the Mii color section of the Mac list and some guy from Japan is being a dick by homepassing in the red section with his light green Mii when I want red shirted Miis, come on people follow the rules (;-_-). Oh well I'm glad to finally get this working.

P.S. its the adapter that gives off the hotspot you name "Wi-Fi" and the hotspot can be named whatever. I named mine HomePass for the sake of this activity.

I figured not everyone is gonna follow the "mii color" rules, and since it's someone from japan, maybe they just couldn't understand english that well?
and dozens is an understatement, since i'm literally getting one pass per address, potentially you can get 100s, and it'll reset every 8 hours, so 300 is possible in 24 hours but I doubt anyone is crazy enough to check 300 passes in a day.
since I have Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus, they both can hold 50 passes, but checking ALL of them takes me 3-4 hours!!
and a game like SMT4 you can "break" the game since you can get stat increases and level-ups from streetpasses, and even get high level demons (like lv90-99) randomly! I'm level 70 in an area where the enemies are level 30!

That sounds really awesome I hope to get 100s myself too.

My only complaint about this program if anything is everytime it switches to a new MAC address it shuts down my hotspot and I gotta reopen the program and turn it back on, each and every time. A minor complaint but I just wanted to address that. If there is a fix for this please post a possible solution.

Finally got HomePass working on my PC.
My onboard wireless adapter had the ability to allocate a mac address to it through the device manager. I followed all the usual steps and made the virtual adapter.

The problem was that virtual adapter mac addresses can't seemed to be changed through my experiences. So i gave my original adapter (with a changed mac address) the name "Wi-Fi" and my virtual adapter "Wi-Fi Virtual". The virtual version has the ssid of "attwifi" and the Wi-Fi version had my regular internet connection as passing through it. Anyway... it ended up working with that mac cycling program.

By the way, is there anyway to enable 'running addresses in batches of 10 at a time? That would be useful. Thankyou for the program :) Or to make it recognise which addresses it has run in one session while having the window open during random addresses?

So what is recommended to do so it just resets the attwifi MAC instead of my restarting my main connection every time it changes MAC?

Is there an explanation as to why my MAC address will not change sometimes. I restarted my PC and now its refusing to change like it was doing so before.

Also if I were on a LAN connection, will I not disconnect when the Mac cycling program is active, everytime it switches over to a new address I have to manually set up my connection again.

I can probably allow you to choose where you left off for sequential mode, but I don't think random will be possible because of the nature of how it works.

I've got a bug report (I guess), when using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB method on this thread: http://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-have-a-homemade-streetpass-relay.352645/

MACycle does not change the MAC address of the adapter. The Techium program listed in there DOES change the MAC address (but only one at a time and manually), so I'm wondering what's up.
I have tested MACycle with a RAlink/Linksys adapter and it works fine (for the most part, Ralink wants to keep enabling ICS every change however but a minor pain), so I'm not sure what's up with the Nintendo USB -> Buffalo adapter.

Also: It seems no matter what I set as a cooldown time, MACycle still uses 3 seconds.

Finally got my HomePass set up completely working. It turns out that on my XP Desktop it was not working before because of my Firewall. The Wi-Fi connection needs to NOT be Firewalled, but the Wired connection can be without problems. I'm also using the newest version of the ASUS Utility and the Buffalo Driver for the Nintendo USB Wi-Fi dongle so I can confirm that it works without digging up the old software. I don't know if duwen or anyone else can confirm that Windows Firewall prevents their HomePass from working, but that was my experience.

Would it be possible to add a feature to MACycle where it restarts the cycle once it completes on loop? I have it set up in my dorm room and I'd like to have it cycle addresses all the time for myself and for any other students that happen to pass by. I'm using the full list of 160 MAC Addresses right now changing every 15 minutes so it will run for quite some time, but I'd like to just start it and not have to check on it at all.

Also: It seems no matter what I set as a cooldown time, MACycle still uses 3 seconds.
This seems like a situational problem because I can confirm that I have set up the Nintendo Wi-Fi Adapter for my brother and it worked fine for him for a couple days (why it stopped is unrelated to the connector itself and is instead an internet issue which I'll have to look at next time I am there). I set up the Nintendo Adapter as specified and then I named it Wi-Fi and ran MACycle and it was changed properly. I checked the MAC addresses and they were actually right unlike my own Atheros setup which shifts to the 2x:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx range. I got at least half a dozen passes that night and my brother got more than me (we were competing on the same hotspot so things were a tad wonky there).

Speaking of my MAC shifting problem, until we can get this resolved (assuming that's ever possible), do you think you could add variants of the main MACs to the list? I personally get the set above (i.e. all my MACs start with 2 instead of 4) while I know others get 0,1, and 7 that I remember. It would help us with problem chipsets get more unique addresses instead of the same dozen people all the time.
