Imagine if every flashcart developer got together. They would release a product so useful it would put the entire games industry out of business.

The best part would be that the prices would be incredibly high because there wouldn't be any competition.

Are they also going to release an English Version of this? I would love it :]
If so, are there any release announces or so for this?

Haha...Yes english version was announced months before..But they just stopped updating it..
We know that they still work on it, but no news were announced till then!!

I guess you'll (actually, we all) have to wait..

I bought my m3 real like 6 months ago, in hope of using sakura, f*ck it never comes out

it makes me mad, i invested in the card and still waiting for that, when the japanese firmware, was already updated like 2 times. sorry for my rant...

Why not use the hacked firmware of M3Sakura while waiting for the official one? Aside from crappy homebrow support (which can be covered with Triple boot using the iTouch firmware), it is fully functional.

You don't understand that official english Sakura will be EXACTLY THE SAME as the one available here for download, but probably with fixed homebrew support.....
If you really want Sakura, just use it.....you won't regret it, it's translated by our members, and it feels totally professional!

I had some thought on a possible offical English version of Sakura. Will it still be called "Sakura" or does it get a more, well, international name? My point is that anyone outside Japan will most likely not know what "Sakura" is supposed to mean. I did not know either until I fired it up for the first time, my first thought afterwards was that Cherry blossom is a not so well-suited name for a flash card. So, will it get a rename to something cool or maybe more attracting for novices? I really don't care for name or look as long as it works well.

I think English M3 Reals have "Supports M3Sakura" on it, so it'll probably be M3Sakura.

I don't even know what "M3 Simply" or "M3 Real" means (or N5, G6, R4, DSTT, etc.). Well, I think the "TT" in "DSTT" means "top toy," but that still doesn't make sense. These names probably sound cooler in Chinese or something. Maybe something got lost in translation.

The R4DS stands for "Revolution 4 DS", ie. Revolution for DS. Dunno about the M3 or the G6. N5 is just a rip-off the R4, so obviously they don't know what the R4DS stands for so they just add 1 to the number hoping it would fool people.

Ah, thanks for the clarification on R4. Now that actually makes sense.

It's not just the "M3" that bugs me, but also the words "Simply" and "Real." "Simply" what? "Real" what? They're both adjectives being treated as nouns.

They should have been called "M3 Simply Awesome" or "M3 Real Gaming" or something to that effect.

I have heard that it was called "Sakura" because the firmware was supposed to be released right around the time the sakura flowers started to bloom in Japan (late March/early April), but it actually ended up being released closer to June.

I think there are reasons, like M3 Simply is supposed to be M3 Simple, as it was one of the first easy slot-1s to use. M3 Real was meant to play it like a real card or something like that, so it was named so.
