Hacking M3 Sakura freezing at Quick Disk Check Screen?

Hey, so I've recently updated my firmware to the official english release of M3 Sakura. After booting my DS though, it froze while doing the standard disk check! I tried formatting the MicroSD, but that did no good. I have almost 300 DS games in one folder, so I was wondering if that would be the problem? Thanks so much in advance!
