Ok, I'm getting pissed off at this now. I have a clean rom of M&L BIS, I downloaded and unpacked YSMenu, all the files are there. When I run it through the R4 menu, it freezes solid at the file select screen. When I TRY to load it through YSMenu, is says Unsupported DLDI name. Nothing I have Googled on this for THREE DAYS STRAIGHT has helped, I'm halfway through Partners In Time and I want this up and running by the time I am done.

What
Do
I
DO?

A little info on what I am running just to leave nothing up to debate:

Nintendo DSi with Firmware v1.03u
R4i SDHC & RTS, (August 09 Build, purchased from Deveno.com)
8GB Kingston MSD HC
R4 RTS Firmware 2.2
YSMenu Version: Unknown

I also have Moonshell 2 in there, but I rarely use it.

First, look for existing threads similar to your problem, like this one: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=182050
Second, try not to be so annoying with your requests for help... that said:[*]Copy all your files to your PC[*]Format your MicroSD card using Panasonic SD Formatter: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=6603[*]Build YSMenu AS FIRMWARE using a2h's YSMenu Generator: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=130359[*]Copy YSMenu and Game files ONLY to the MicroSD card
When you're sure everything works, copy your other apps like Moonshell over but NOT the R4 firmware.
If you still have problems after the above 4 steps then:
  • Make sure your ROM isn't patched
  • Use an untrimmed ROM
  • Try a different ROM

Have you considered purchasing the game if you absolutely need to play it right away?

I have considered it, then considered the fact that I am flat broke at the moment. The DSi alone was a gift.

Alot of help you people are.
And you wonder why no one is leaping to help you out?

Look pal. I'm just trying to get this game working. I asked nicely, and people bitch and complain. So now I'm being a little more hostile towards those who simply post for the sake of flapping thier gums.

Simply Google a Fix. Search for a fix, instead of just whining and complaining. If there are no Fixes for your R4i, might as well buy a Different Flashcart? Problem solved.

i feel your pain i've tried for hours to get this game running, but it either doesn't load or loads and gets stuck at the select file screen. i don't really care to play it, although i may if i ever get it to work. i have a real r4 with ysmenu (latest version) and it just will not work...i don't understand why you would have to have nothing but the game and firmware on the card, but maybe that is the issue. i also have it installed as the firmware for my r4 so it boots right into ysmenu. i gave up on this game and it looks like things aren't getting any better as well with the newer games coming out. i'll enjoy the 4000+ titles that are playable for now, if this ends with the ds now, then so be it, i'm not gonna go crazy because of a couple games that don't work, they will eventually

Every time I've seen someone say that (or said it myself), the next step is to copy your games/apps back on after you get it working.

Good.
I can't understand why people build YSMenu as a NDS rom, even a self-booting one.
It's just more difficult and loading than it needs to be.

Yeah... from the looks of it, this new degree of piracy checking is going to be the norm for first party Nintendo games.
But as long as there is updated DSTT firmware, real R4s will be able to stay up to date with YSMenu -- even without Yasu.
