Christmas is upon us and I want to get my mom a nice phone as her current one is starting to become faulty. Only problem is, I don't know very much about the cellphone community, and since there are a lot of different cell phones out there I'm having difficulties picking one. Basically what I'm looking for is a regular phone(not smartphone) that's of high quality and can withstand a beating. I've heard good things about Nokia and I have a Nokia phone myself which has withstood a lot, but their current phones don't seem impressive. Does anyone here know what the best robust cell phone is? Price range is <150$.

:)

I was going to suggest a Moto G Gen 3 before I realized that you wanted a dumbphone... If cost is your concern, though, you're literally going to have a better time finding a cheap smartphone than a cheap flip-phone

You are really limiting yourself by saying no smartphone.

Smartphone is fine if it does fit the requirements mentioned. Is there really a robust smartphone out there for just 150$?

Operator. :P
Ah. Síminn. Also Icelandic.

I found an auction for 2 of the ones linked in the other post in good condition at a great price. Both unlocked. I thinking of going for it. Any objections? :creep:

EDIT: Too late. Bought them. May as well replace my dads phone as well. Thanks for your suggestions.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
